Menopause Exercise Programmes in Kilkenny

Your body isn’t the same — and it’s not supposed to be.

If you’re in your 40s or 50s and noticing lower energy, feeling less strong, more stiffness or back pain — or that what used to work no longer works — you’re not alone.

Many women tell me:
“I feel like I don’t recognise my body anymore.”

You’re not doing anything wrong.
Your body simply needs a different, more supportive approach to training.

A different way to train

At IRIE – The Joyful Movement Studio, I offer a specialised approach to exercise for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.

This is not about pushing harder.

It’s about learning how to move and train in a way that supports your body now — so you can feel stronger, more capable and more at ease in your body again.

Why strength matters in menopause

During menopause, your body changes — and so should your training.

  • supports metabolism and insulin sensitivity
  • helps maintain bone health
  • improves joint stability
  • reduces aches and pains
  • supports pelvic floor and core function

Training well during menopause is about more than lifting weights — it also includes mobility, balance, core coordination and gradual progression.
